Last summer I predicted that the 2300 days of Daniel 8 would begin on

June 5th, 2011.

Events have now confirmed this.

On June 5th, AP News reported that Israel and Syria had the worst
clashes since the 1973 war.  Syrian protestors began an open ended sit
in at the Israeli border.  This incredible fighting between Israel and
Syria, the most intense in the last 38 years, is the major world event
that has now confirmed the 2300 days have begun.  This intense
fighting will no doubt propel prophetic events forward, culminating in
the King of Kings's Great Return for His Bride on Yom Teruah 2017.

I had thought that the animal sacrifices would begin on June 5th and
launch the 2300 days, followed by the transgression of desolation and
then the 42 months of the holy place being trampled underfoot.  But
after reading Daniel 8 again, the scripture makes no mention in what
order those three events must take place, just that they all must
happen within the 2300 days.

Perhaps the transgression of desolation wil happen first, which will
lead to an apostate sacrificial system that will eventually be
trampled under foot by the anti messiah.

In any case, I think we need to keep a close eye on the fighting
between Israel and Syria as that event has clearly marked the
beginning of the 2300 days.
