Evangelist Daniel John Lee

And to the angel of the congregation in Philadelphia write -- These things says He that is holy, He that is true, He that has the Key of David, He that opens, and no man shuts, and shuts, and no man opens.  I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept My Word, and have not denied My Name . . ."

Forbidden Trees, Possibilities and Torah

Greetings all in the Matchless Name of YahShua!

As I was pondering the beauty of Torah, meditating much as the Psalmist declares: "Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy Torah", I realized something amazing.

Placing the commands and precepts of Torah in one's life opens up amazing possibilities in the best sense of the word. As I continue in my walk of keeping Torah, I find I have less and less stress, more and more order, an easier time accomplishing tasks and a greater upsurge of creativity in work, raising my children and in my writing.

How was it, I wondered, that I could write for little more than an hour or two each day, continue running a business, home schooling children, leading a family and spending much time in ministry, while still landing three contracts from various literary agents? Could it be that by keeping Torah, my time becomes more and more productive?

When Adam was told not to partake of the forbidden tree, if he had but tasted of the Tree of Life, all the knowledge Satan tempted him with would have been given in the PROPER context of YahShua's glory. We often like to go exploring endless possibilities, using our talents, striving to accomplish this and that, and often everything comes to naught -- or the result is severely diminished from what it might have been. Yet when we follow the path of Torah, Yah makes our footsteps sure, and allows us to use our talents in the PROPER context.

A microcosm of this happened just a few days ago at UCLA. By simple obedience to evangelize in the manner YahShua instructs (via open-air preaching) doorways were opened for both television and radio -- all in the space of a few, short hours.

How RADICAL and INFLUENTIAL the impotent church would become if she would but take a hold of Torah, grip the Covenant and obey the precepts that please Yah's heart! The RIGHT doorways would open, at the PROPER time, all for the glory of Yah. LIBERTY flows free from the man who hides the Torah of Moshe in his heart! Happy is he!

Psalm 19 says the "heavens declare the glory of YHVH and the firmament sheweth His handiwork."

Only a few verses after describing the MAGNIFICENT ARTISTRY of YHVH through His Creation, we are reminded over and over of the importance of Torah.

"The Torah of YHVH is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of YHVH is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of YHVH are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of YHVH is pure, enlightening the eyes."

Could it be the church has tried to usurp the Master Artist's role by chasing after all these various church programs, when merely cherishing the Torah, the Eternal Commandments of Yah, would set her free to obey YHVH in the way He desires?

O that men would fear YHVH, keep His precepts and walk humbly before him. O that the church would obey every jot and tittle of Torah, a Torah which promises redemption and liberty -- and abundant LIFE!
