Evangelist Daniel John Lee

And to the angel of the congregation in Philadelphia write -- These things says He that is holy, He that is true, He that has the Key of David, He that opens, and no man shuts, and shuts, and no man opens.  I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept My Word, and have not denied My Name . . ."

Why Did YHVH Allow Such Darkness???

Critics of the torah-centered gospel will often remark that this doctrine cannot possibly be true because how could Yah allow His church to become so corrupt, so filled with darkness and so far removed from the Truth over the past 1700-1800 years?

1.  First of all, the above question is not entirely built on a correct premise.   While it is true that paganism did start seeping into christianity as early as the 2nd century, the Torah-observant Messianics were still a force to be contended with a good 300 years after Messiah resurrected.

Even after the apostacy of the 4th century, the Torah-observant believers, though now a distinct minority, would continue to be recorded in history up until the 13th century.

And, obviously, there was a tiny remnant from the 13th century until now though they pass from the pages of history, because there have been groups in the USA who have at least kept parts of Torah for the last few hundred years.

2.   YHVH is under no obligation to protect "the church at large" from gross darkness, sin and ignorance if that "church at large" hardens her heart and desires a lie more than Truth.  In fact, the ReNEWed Covenant even promises that if a man has not a love for the Truth, Yah will SEND a strong delusion that he might believe a lie.

While it is true that the gates of hell have never overcome the true Bride of Messiah -- most of recorded history charts the apostate whore of a church, not the Bride of Messiah.

When, in the 4th century, many Nazerenes and "the church at large" decided to compromise the Truth with that apostate Constantine in an exchange for no more state persecution, Yah sent such a terrible darkness upon "the church at large" that it would take the next 1600 years before all the bad doctrine would be finally exposed.

But Yah, in His merciful love, DID HELP THE WHORE OF A CHURCH to return to her virgin roots, even as Yah strove with Apostate Yisrael in the Tanakh.

John Huss
Yah sent men like Huss and Jerome even during the height of the Roman Catholic Church, to remind people that the Catholics were wrong.  While Jerome and Huss were only given a very small amount of light and truth about the Scriptures -- it was all the people could handle after living for centuries in the shadow of the Mother Whore -- Roman Catholicism.

Luther Yah sent a man named Martin Luther who would restore the basic truth that Faith alone justifies a man and works comes as a RESULT of faith in Messiah.  Luther, unfortunately, became so discouraged in his ministry to the Jews that he turned to a hatred for the Jews and thus became an apostate toward the end of his l0ife.  Even Luther was not prepared for the fullness of the Truth, the Torah gospel, because layers and layers of darkness still had yet to be thrown back.

George Whitefield

John Wesley
Yah then sent men like Whitefield, Edwards, and Wesley -- bringing back the doctrine of holiness as never before.  They had more Truth revealed to them than Huss, Jerome or Luther, but still more tides of darkness had to be pushed back  before the fullness of the 1st century Torah-centered gospel could be restored.

Finney
Yah sent Charles Finney, a man mighty in power and deed, who taught much moral government theology.  As close as he was to many Truths that had been buried in darkness, Finney himself never continued on in the torah-centered gospel.

Keith Green
Yah sent Keith Greene in the 20th century, a Jew-turned-Christian, with a powerful anointing who revived Finney's call to holiness and purity.  Unfortunately, due to Keith's carelessness, he was killed in a violent plane crash in 1982.  I happen to believe if Keith had been more careful, he would have eventually pressed on into the Torah-centered gospel.

Spirit of Elijah
Now Yah has sent me and many others in the spirit and power of Elijah, at the end of 20 centuries, to finally complete the Reformation first begun in the middle ages by Huss and Jerome.  Now, at long last, the "church at large" is ready to hear the Torah-centered gospel.

The question is: will the church repent?
